Case Files

The Files tab of a case allows for uploading files that are of importance to the case. Files can be of any type and will be saved to the MotionCX platform. Along with manually uploaded files, images added within case comments will automatically be attached. When configured, call and screen recordings related to the case will also be included in the case file list.

Viewing Files

To view files associated to a case, navigate to the case and click on the cases Files tab. All files associated to the case will be displayed as a clickable link. Clicking on the link will allow you to download the file.

Adding New Files

To attach a file to a case click the Choose button. This will open your computers file explorer window. Locate and select the file you wish to attach. Once the file has been selected, the file name and size will be displayed. You may select one or more files to upload at a time. Once you have selected the files for attaching, click the Upload button. After the upload is complete the files list will update and display links to all attached files.

Deleting Files

Files associated to a case can be deleted if you have the Cases > Can Delete permission. To delete a file from a case, click the Delete icon next to the file you wish to delete. A confirmation window will be displayed. Click Yes to permanently delete the file.

Deleted files can not be restored. Always confirm the correct file is being deleted before proceeding with the file deletion.
